gpgAuth is an authentication mechanism which uses Public/Private (cryptographic) keys (such as GnuPG, PGP) to authenticate users to a web-page or service.
The process works by the two-way exchange of Encrypted/Signed tokens between a user and the service.
gpgAuth is a generic authentication protocol that is not specific to any technology, platform or provider type. Being a versitile authentication mechansim, there are many hardware/software options available - in the projects section you will find information regarding various gpgAuth client and server implementations or tools.
